Susannah Ott & Kath Arthur

My good friends gave me sound advice that it was perfectly okay to keep breastfeeding, even though other Mothers were suggesting it was time to stop, and put your own needs before the baby. There was an awkward moment where I didn’t feel comfortable feeding my baby in public when the group was pulling out the baby bottles and ordering a glasses of wine for the Mums. It was very confusing, and thankfully, with some conversations with other women with similar values, I was able to continue in the happy mode I was in – not drinking and breastfeeding my baby. It made me feel so relieved that what I was doing, that felt perfectly normal – indeed was perfectly normal!
