Not really a story, but I just wanted to let other mothers know that it isn’t always hard. I fearlessly breast fed until my son was 22 months, and I was 2 months pregnant with our second child. I knew that exclusive breast feeding was important, and I was confident in my decision. I have never received any attitude or negative comments in public, I received praise. I was told what a good mother I was. People I didn’t know would offer me their seat, or get me some water. Others just sat with me a gushed about motherhood. In church, the pastor even brought communion to me, because I was busy nursing my son. One thing to keep in mind is that the staring isn’t always because of judgment. A lot of times the people want to support you, not bring you down.
